Franck Helaine composes music for film and documentary. His work has been recognised at the Deauville Green Awards (Golden Trophy), the Festival Cabane à Sang (Best Sci-Fi Film 2024), and the Festival du Film Fantastique de Strasbourg. He has been working with directors on image-driven projects since 2016, based in Brittany, France.
Recent credits include WATTer – Par la force du vent (feature documentary, theatrical release), Bang Bang and Hématome (short films, both festival-awarded), and Sur tous les fronts — a live performance for a screenplay reading at the Festival Travelling, Rennes 2026, written by Barbara Dupont.
His sound moves between synthesizer textures, modern orchestral writing, and organic sound design, with a particular affinity for science fiction, horror, and melancholic atmospheres. Fifteen years of self-directed practice have shaped an approach that is precise, deliberate, and always built around the image.
He handles composition, mixing, and mastering in-house.
His personal project Like a Droid has quietly accumulated over 123K streams.
